Yesterday, at a large regional coin show in Washington state, I purchased a silver groat of Edward III, Seaby 1566. It's my first English hammered. However, when I got home I noticed some prominent doubling on the reverse, particularly on the DON in LONDON and the pellets beneath. I know errors like this were quite common on hammered coins, but how does it affect the value?

With hammered coins, slight doubling makes virtualy no difference to the value.
