Here is my specimen of 1943-D 1c RPM#1. I picked this one for 40c about 30 years ago or more. I sold it for $60 and them bought it back for $200 a number of years later along with an NGC-65 of the same variety for about $300.
I love 'em both! Oh I should mention that the fellow that sold them to me wishes he had them back.
