I was in the Vancouver Mint Boutique and saw the coin in person. Very nice looking coin. Could be a sleeper hit with only 4000 mintage,

I would have loved to order this one but I'm sticking to my "Nothing past 2014 except continuations of series I really like" rule.

Is it a coin, or a Hummel plate?

@MoneyPenney: Could you tell if the image was painted on or if it was a decal? (It looks like a decal in the on-line images.)

@commems, The image is painted on.

BTW, there is no Canada or the date on the coin. I've never seen a coin like this before. Have the RCM ever issued such a coin?

MoneyPenney, the image quality is stunning. Was it really without dithering? Even the RCM image looks too good to be true IMO.

You probably asking about reverse side, cause here it is on obverse

Moonlight-Fireflies-Glow-In-The-Dark-2-Oz-Coin

and if to speak about reverse, so "2012 two Loons" is the best example of such coins.
"Tim Barnard" and "Towering Forests" too, but they crafted without paint / enamel.

OK - wow - even the obverse looks good.

What about the frost? smooth 800 grit or more like 80?
