If not, just say so and I will stop because I don't want to be a bother....just trying to learn. I have 3 pictures, each from different coins. 1st is a 1995P that after looking on coppercoins, I believe it is called a "close variation"? Is this technically a double die? Second is a similar coin...This is a 2006P that has very similar striking. It is a lot more evident with the naked eye and a better picture. This last one is a bit different....The picture is not the best but you can see best what I am seeing with the "E" in "cent". The "E CE" all have a "shaved" appearance on the bottom of the letter. Like the strike mis-hit slightly and shaved a portion of the relief off. Any comments are appreciated. Report this Post to the Staff

The second coin is normal from all appearances. I see nothing that resembles doubling. The third coin is the result of die wear. Nothing outside the norm there either. Sorry, you're 0 for 3. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 12/21/2007 07:44 am The 1DO-005 you are referring to is a D mint - your coin is a P mint. Can't be the same thing. If you were referring to it being possibly similar - The photos of 1995D-1DO-005 either need to be retaken or the die needs to be deleted.
