I do not know much about error coins.

A friend of mine asked the question and I did not have a good response, so I figured I would get the groups thoughts.

Is there any value in an off center stamped coin, or is that the more common error from the mint? He had a modern Buffalo nickel that was about 10 to 20% off center and wanted to know how much it was worth.

I told him it was at least worth $.05

An off center coin that's 10-20% off should bring at least $5-$10, possibly more considering it's a one-year type.
