Fake 1928 Peace Dollar ?

Just received, looks like area where mintmark would be is different color and ridge is rounded in same area. I paid much more not to have an S. Several jpg's attached. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

It's impossible to tell from the photos. Have you inspected the mintmark area under 10x to see if the metal shows signs of alteration there? Also, there is the limit on photo size, but you should be able to post larger pics than those. Do you know how to resize them?

Well the coin is worth well over 10x the value of an "S" so if the area where the mint mark is looks altered then it more then likely is. take as high of quality pics as you can and crop it down to the area around the location of the mintmark

Hard to tell from pics; if it is fake then it might not be obvious because of the harsh cleaning or whizzing the coin has also endured.
