I just wanted to put this one out there, it seems that WL differences are popular on the rest of the silver dollars but not even recognised on the "Big Boy" of the series. I say this because I have never seen one attributed as such or valued differently, heck! I don't even remember seeing someone mention it on an ebay listing. I believe this is listed in the Charlton 66th edition though.....anyway here is a pic pulled from ebay that best shows the variety. I am not sure how many dies have this polishing variety or how common it is but in a quich search I spotted a few on ebay. Feel free to call me Will.

Yes, Charlton would recognize that as a SWL (Variety Rev. 002) and I agree but I don't think ICCS would by their standards. They would say the second WL is not short enough.

hmmmmm, interesting........I thought that ICCS identifies Charlton numbers, perhaps they don't recognise this one due to the fact that it is not what they recognise as SWL while Charlton says it is?

probably not unless you really want it, it seems common enough that you could find it on a higher grade specimen plus it probably wouldn't get recognised for the variety anywhere but cccs, but if you are seriously considering buying an unc example of the variety here is a link(not my listing) 291446851833

Im trying to build a complete dollar set and am at 1947. My goal is to have all Canadian silver dollars in MS-63 by ICCS. When I look more if cant find one I just might get that MS-60 one you showed, it is quite a nice example. After some of the 50`s ones it will be smooth sailing... I hope! Thanks for the link!

I am working on the same set accept in 64 and higher....although I may have to settle for less on the 48, I also get any cool varieties almost no matter the grade. after that I am thinking about what to do next...my current train of thought is a complete set of KG VI specimens. any way, the MS-60 should be nice, many of those scratches appear to be on the holder.

for the most part, yes. you'll feel a little pressure when you hit 62,63,64 etc, they do exist but many are melt value and ULTRA baggy. when I say this I mean that it will be hard to find one you like, a lot of the time I find my self disagreeing on the grade as I am picky and conservative.
