If the seller has a roll of what appear to be regular 2000-D dollars, why all the information about the Millennium set? Is the seller trying to mislead or am I missing something?
Rest in Peace

I'ld say the seller has no clue what he has and just found a write-up that he thought was close and used it.

During the listing process, ebay presents you with a bunch of stuff it found similar to your auction title and you have the option of throwing it into your auction copy. Bet that's what happened here.

They are wonderfully toned though.

ebay has a link in all auctions that says "Have one to sell? Sell now" which will open a page with the exact layout and info as the original for you to create you listing.

I agree that that the seller just grabbed the first one he found and copied it.

Seller has a real Marketing point, "awesome toning on end coins!" and doesn't mention it. But has it listed as part of the millenium set, which it wasn't.
Now, if they are all toned...may be worth the price he is asking?

He responded "Thank you. I will adjust my listing. I am not a coin person. I was using other listings as reference. Thanks". Seems he just didn't know which is understandable.

For some definitions of "understandable."

"Hi. I'm selling this thing. I don't really know what it is, but I'm selling it. Here's some boilerplate copy from some other thing that might resemble my thing."

Yes stuff like that is very commonly seen. So much so I find you should never pay much attention to the "Item Specifics" box ot any boilerplate in the "Detailed Item Info" box. Unfortunately too many people just use those and don't bother to actually write aything about the specific coin they are selling other than something like "look at the picture and figure it out for yourself"

The roll didn't sell. Someone send him a message telling him that the information he's stilling including about the Millennium Set is incorrect.

Why don't you send him that message? Then why bother at all you would just be wasting your time. It probably would not sell again if he relisted it. It is time to just forget about it and move on.

I did send him a message. He partially fixed it. I could take the why bother attitude, but I prefer to help those who are willing to learn.
