Really hard to tell from pics. Use a diffuser between the light source and coin.

The last two images are showing machine damage from the strike.

That last picture shows some shelf like devices,further pointing to MD. Better pictures would help some as well.

"Shelf-like" is an arguable term in many cases, especially when you're trying to see it in 2D imaging. However, the "doubling" reducing the stroke of the letters is unequivocal most of the time, as it is here.
