The rim of this 1987 LMC appears to be doubled; traveling through LIBERTY's L, and the entire IN GOD WE TRUST device. The coins reverse shows faint doubling along corresponding lines, and minor signs of striking through grease. I just found this coin in my current CRH bank roll. What have I found? Does it normally add any value to the coin; in coin collecting? Thank you.

I see grease strike through on the reverse like you mentioned and the obverse effect I believe is from die deteriation-others will be along with opinions I'm sure though

The grease strike through is a common area for these

Another effect from the deteriation if you notice the first few letters of LIBERTY appear smaller and less defined...

I think the weakness of strike on the upper portion of the reveres is due to poor die fill (not struck hard enough).

The ring through the devices is Die Deterioration. Very common on cents from the 1980's zincolns. Spendable
