According to the ANA grading standards the circle around inner shield should be complete for a VF-30 grade. The overall wear is just a bit too much to make XF IMO. If the shield ring is more complete than the picture shows I would go with VF-30, if not I would say VF-20 and a nice looking coin ! Report this Post to the Staff
Prethen Pillar of the Community United States 3234 Posts	Posted 12/22/2007 3:05 pm I think there's too much wear for XF. Perhaps VF25 or 30 at best. Also, the coloration looks unnatural to me. I think it was cleaned with some sort of agent that either left a rusty looking residue (or is it just the photo) or stripped too much metal.
