Hi Bad. I am thinking 30/35 but will look at it more tonight when I get home. It appears that there is some Die Deterioration shadowing on the mint mark, but I am curious about what is going on with Lincoln's forehead. Is it Machine Doubling? Jim

Thad,
I will call this one VF-35. I like the toning on this one. I would say that you got a much better coin than the sellers pictures would have led me to believe.

I took this coin to my local dealer, expert. As per my suspecions, he confirmed it was cleaned. I bought it as an EF, but it's definately not, it's a VF. I sent it back today since I paid $48 and change shipped....rip off IMO.

Bad, I keep looking at this coin and can see a lot of things, but I don't see what would seem like cleaning to me. Not from the pics anyway. What makes you think it it has been cleaned? Jim

Thad, before I read that last post of yours, that was exactly what I was going to start typing, a cleaned VF. The dead giveaway was that there should be no color on a coin with below choice XF wear. I hope you get all your money back okay.

Good move Bad. I agree it is a VF coin.

Jim - When you tilt the coin just right, you can see striations in the fields and devices (mainly the head). Straight on or even at some angles, they are not apparent. Another example of the problem with photograding.
