Sorry, I'm a newby here, but is a DDO coin generally more valuable than a comparably graded coin that is a normal, single strike? If I found a DDO coin at a standard coin price, should I consider it a good deal?
Not all ________ are created equal. Fill on the blank with Doubled Dies and you will be started in the right direction. Some have enough of a collector base that it can increase the value of the coin. Other coins willhave to carry their own weight .
At first glance, it's a shot taken through a slab or other container. Those are definitely reflections and not features on the coin - the largest and most famous DDO's of all time do not approach that kind of separation. Note that each succeeding reflection is smaller than the other; I begin to think there's so much light reflecting back into the lens that the lens is reflecting it right back onto the coin, like concentric mirrors.
