Hello everyone.... This is my first time to this forum. I need as much help and opinions as possible. I have a 1944-D Mercury dime that I believe is an error coin but am not an expert or even close to an expert to tell whether I have an error coin or not. Any and all opinions would be much appreciated. I will try to upload an image of the obverse and let the opinions begin. Also any value you might take a stab at would be appreciated also. The obverse is the side I believe has a few errors. Please look at the chin and "In God We Trust" and the word "Liberty" Thanks very much for your help in advance. CP

That's just a normal dime, but with full band, grade about AU-58 to MS-60 with current photos.

Macmercury... Thanks very much for your opinion. Do you think it would be worth it to submit for grading? Thanks again. CP

Cost of submitting to any TPG service would cost more then the coin worth.

The 'errors' are just common nicks or bagmarks. Other than that, it's a nice looking, albeit error-free coin.

Nice coin. What I believe you are seeing is some slight Strike Doubling in the word Liberty and on the chin. The doubling in "in god we trust" appears to be caused from a VLDS (very late die state) die and that can cause the doubling you appear to be inquiring about.
Grade Au58-ms60 FB.

As noted not worth having a TPGS slab that coin. It is a really nice, all FSB, coin though.
