A small, arabic-looking gold/brass piece with a tiny hole in it. Bought for essentially nothing, but I'm thinkin it's a token. The piece is super thin, certainly thinner than .5mm and it's bendable. Any thoughts on what this might be?

I'd agree. This one isn't really trying to copy an Ottoman coin. I'm not sure the Arabic is supposed to actually "say" anything; several of the letters are twisted way out of normal shape.
