Today I bought a 1938-D Liberty Walking Half in EF condition for $45 bucks. Now that is cheap IMO. It was at Village Coin Shop in Tampa. They have a large bin of coins they call bargain coins. I found three proof and UNC Eisenhower dollars in early 70's for $5 each. Even if they are silver clad I think that is not a bad price. Silver Roosevelt dimes for $2.50 a piece. I can get better deals at coin shops than ebay. Selling coins is just a sideline for many of these guys. What they want to do is buy silver and gold for 25 cents on the dollar.

While I was in the shop some guy came in with a bag of fake coins trying to sell them. The owner said they were all from China.

Great buy on the 1938-D walker, not so good a deal on the Roosevelt's though, JMO. Post a picture if you can of the walker.

Need photo of the 38-D. there had to be a reason why that particular walker was in a bargain bin in EF condition for $45. but there's a chance you could have scored.

I don't have a pic because I don't have camera to upload pics. However, the coin did have a scratch on it. I did not notice until I got it home. It is better than the one I had anyway even with the scratch. It is a small scratch but it is there. You know when something is too good to be true it usually is too good. Still a deal I think. It was marked 90 bucks and waS in the bargain drawer. Actually, it may have been the dealer's mistake. I was sitting at the bargain bin and that is where he assumed I got it maybe. I do need a camera to upload pics on this site.
