Has anybody ever seen a Canadian 2003 P New Effigy penny Graded as a MS-67 Numismatic BU The coin is Magnetic. I have seen regular MS grades not Numismatic BU for this year. It was grade by ICCS. This is the first time I have seen one. I have no idea what its worth.

It's one that was removed from a pliofilm BU set (Some people still call them Proof Like or PL sets). They were issued with both old and new effigies. Charlton 2015 Vol 1 gives it $50. coinsandcanada.com gives it $33.

I suspect that the population is only low because few have been removed from sets and submitted. I would guess the potential population far exceeds demand.

There is one on ebay for $350, Charlton's has it at $50, and C&C lists it at $6.50. I can understand why you are perplexed grossall. C&C prices are supposedly from actual sale results so I would believe their price is actually the most realistic.

The problem I'm having is that I can not find a Proof Set with that penny. You can find a New Effigy ( Queen With out a Crown )with the WP on it, not just a P. Problem not solved untill I see a Proof Like Set showing me the New Effigy with the letter P and the Queen without a crown.

is the coin yours or are you looking at buying. Seems to be quite a discrepancy in the prices

In Charltons 2006 60th Anniversary Edition (Page 409) it states, " In 2003 two effigys are to be found on the Tiny Treasures coin set, crowned and uncrowned. 2003 was the last year of issue for the Tiny Treasures sets". These sets were Multi-ply plated steel and had the "P" on Obverse. This set could be the one the OP is looking for.

Quote: In Charltons 2006 60th Anniversary Edition (Page 409) it states, " In 2003 two effigys are to be found on the Tiny Treasures coin set, crowned and uncrowned. I recall reading this as well. However, my search for a New Effigy/Uncrowned portrait 2003 Tiny Treasures set turned up nothing. The Charlton catalog no longer notes the 2003 Tiny Treasures set as being available in both portrait types. Also of note, Volume Two of the Charlton Standard Catalog of Canadian Coins - Collector and Maple Leaf Issues (page 337) states that "Mid year 2003 the tiara portrait of Elizabeth II, which had been used since 1990, was replaced with the new uncrowned portrait by Susanna Blunt. The first set with this portrait was issued in 2004." grossall, if your coin has been attributed correctly by ICCS, your coin is rare in that finish. It would be interesting to know where (what set) it came from. Oh and by the way, to CCF!
