I have not heard of a silver "Mint Set", do You mean "Proof Set " ? If You meant proof set, they have been released for several months now. If you have information on a silver version..please enlighten me !

Here's a direct link for you. I'm assuming you want the full set. If not, you can find the other sets there too.

I've been buying one set of these for each of my kids each year since the they were born (1996 and 1997). I'm just kicking myself for not buying about 500 sets in 1999! They're worth about $300 - $350 now

Hey Mahgobbi,

I am familiar with the silver Proof Sets- but those are not what we call Mint Sets. The original post asked about 2007 silver Mint Sets, these are not one in the same.

Proof Sets since 1968 come in hard plastic containers with a single example of each denomination for that year struck in on specially prepared blanks and dies.

Mint Sets until 2003 are sealed into a plastic film package and contain an example from each mint (Denver and Philadelphia ) struck from regular business strike dies and blanks. Starting in 2004 they changed the finish...but that's another thread.

All that being said I have to assume that Taxman was referring to the silver proof set, and I stand by my original answer

Thanks InfiniteInterest

I guess I'm showing my age, someone hinted that the mint was coming out with one. I grabbed onto that rumor knowing that years back there was such an animal. It's been a long time since I've purchased a mint set.

Happy Holidays to you ! - Tom
