This is a nicely detailed Gold 1857 Dollar, but it has a hardly noticible crease or bend that is not readily apparent at first glance. How much does this affect it's value, or is it now just a bullion piece?

Unfortunately if it's bent it's bullion.

As a buyer I would pay 2xspot. I have 2 PCGS type-3 in AU-58 that I paid around $220ea.

There's only about $59 worth of gold there and, assuming it's genuine, it's worth $150 easy - even if slightly bent.

I agree with Brad, $150 easy, despite the bend. On the bay, you could easily get $200+, I know because I sold two of these about a week ago for $150 each and they had actual visible damage to them (ex: jewlery).

Thanks for all the responses. I'll probably give to my son, who sells stuff on ebay. It's actually a nice looking coin, but I don't need it. I have a nice one in my type set.
