I will be going , I'm looking for a 2006p penny single and a 2007 non-mag single and any other little treasure that catches my eye. I hope there are a few more table vendors this time.

Very small show and heard the last one was mostly flea guys. None of the bigger dealers go anymore!

Pac: seems like there's a story behind this... just people really dissapointed with how the show is held or the people in charge of running the show?

Just not a terrible amount of interest in Lotus land I guess. Show just moved from the Oakridge area which was a great area. Talked to three Vancouver dealers this week and all said last show was awful. Contrast this with the Seattle show a few weeks back yikes!! When I lived in Victoria I used to take tables at the Van Show and did OK but expenses killed us . Now that I am back on the Mainland might take a table for the fall show. Until then it is the U.S. Northwest shows for us just way more profitable and fun.

Quote: more profitable and fun. The fun is the most part... with good minded people I have come to the conclusion that the money will work itself out... but it's necessary to stop and smell the flowers.. or in my case try some mead!

Pacicoin you made the comment that none of the big dealers go anymore, would you happen to know which dealers are coming?

Pac: The Winnipeg coin show will happen every/any time anyone wants to come into this city and talk coins....
I'll even hold a smallauction... My guess is that even after a few comp drinks the auction would be lively even if you were the only attendee.... LOL

Unfortunately ther is not a list available that I can find. Email Mike Souza at the Northshore Numismatic Society web site. he can probably give you the low down.

Just had a look on the north Shore Numismatic Society website and found a list of "friendly coin show dealers" right above the contact emails for anyone who might be interested.

I was at the last show and there about 6 coin dealers and 4 stamp/postcard dealers. The selection of coins was pretty poor.
The location is not convenient as there is little public transport in that area and parking is difficult.

And there you have it. Pretty much sums up the Vancouver coin market. Two hours down the freeway a show like this in Seattle at least 50 dealers and ACTION.
