How would ICCS or PCGS grade a coin like this if they even would ? Would it be rejected it as (Damaged), would other graders give it a grade?

I see no Chopmarks on this coin. All I see is a damaged rim that looks
like a file was taken to it. Non-gradable

Too bad.
It would have been a nice high grade 1858.

Upon further review of an article written by F.M. Rose in a 1987 study of
Chopmarks. He listed different types of Chopmarks. One of the types he lists
are cuts to the edges of the coin. These were in the form of file marks.
Chopmarks were used on silver and gold coins to indicate the stamper
considered them to be of proper weight.

DEVLEC - You nailed it about the die clash.

I agree. PMD. Maybe one of the Canadian companies would grade it, but with bad remarks/comments about the rims
