Hooray first post!

Excited to be a part of the community and look forward to learning more about rare coins and the history behind them.

Today I found a strange wheat back Lincoln Cent while going through a bag for a friend. It has a Ford logo stamped on both the obverse and the reverse. Just wondering if this is something that you guys have seen before, or if it is a truly rare coin (gift and a curse, this wishful thinking of mine).

Nice counterstamped coin. If you can trace it to actual rogue adverising done by early ford you have quite the cross collectible there.

That's a very nice stamped coin! As said above by Cascade, if you can trace it to actual advertising done by early Ford you have a cool collectible there.

I saw one of these at my local shop's bid board a few months ago. The host coin was an early 1930s wheatie, counterstamped on one side only. I tried to win it but my bid was trumped in the last few seconds, I think the final bid was somewhere around $10. IMO, it would definitely have cross appeal to automotive collectors.

Here's a completed ebay listing of a similar era, but on a Buffalo. The auction description says it's listed in Brunk.

Thanks all for your feedback!

Chequer I've never heard of "brunk" coins, very interesting to see how many of them are around!

and kemist6 thank you for the idea of what they are fetching roughly in real world terms. It is something I'll put in our case and see what someone offers us if it catches their eye.
