Looks like Charles I of England to me, but it isn't my specialty.

Yup, Charles I from england. 1630s - 1640s if I remember correctly.

I can clearly see in the shield on the reverse the arms of Scotland (top right), Ireland (bottom left) and England. So yes, it is British.

Really?!! So what does one call it? denomination wise? How would PCGS name it for a slab and, in that vein, is it worth slabbing?

The copper coin dated 1787 is a Connecticutt Cent. Post it in the US classic coin category for some knowledgeable members to classify.
