One of the larger die cracks I've found-coop,I've found 3 and 4 die crack reverses on LMC's but I've yet to find a crack across the whole face of the die-would like to see pics of one though if you have?

I have one in this exact location. Check your crack, mine comes down like that and looks like it ends. You can trace the die crack straight down like yours, then my splits off under the stairs and comes off to about the 3 oclock position. I have found some big gnarly die cracks recently on LMCS! Nice find. Ill snap some pictures later when everyone wakes up.

Here is one that was a full die back, until the die crack became a Cud:

Here is an image that Ken Potter posted of a similar situation that happened with that coin I posted:

This is a nice strong die crack. When they get all the way to the rim and start breaking down the body of the die, I refer to them as Major Die Cracks. Once they go through the rim they can travel well down the length of the die. All dies that I own, either those I've purchased as 'defective' for educational purposes or those I've had crack on me while in production, have a long crack down body (relatively speaking). Those that do not go through then rim show no evidence of major cracking, relatively speaking. I'd say the coin you have represents one not too far away from a major split down the body.

Look how far this crack went down the nose, shoulder and shank of the die:

Here is a proof 2009-S Professional Life Lincoln. The crack extended all the way through the design rim. Chances are the crack could have extended well down the body of the die:

I think I have this one too. Check the inside edge of the pillar. On mine, the crack makes a small directional shift and runs down the vertices of the bay field and the pillar relief. I don't think mine goes as far a JD's, but better than the halfway point.

Good luck slamn!! Nice specimen for a crack!

999fine,
I noticed yesterday when I posted that 3-Year AA die elsewhere that it ironically looks almost like a shot glass in my hand.
