Hi All,

Hope everybody is having a wonderful memorial day weekend. Whether you're 'a Grilling, boating, hiking or whatever you like to do. I just hope you're out there doing it!

On a side note, here's a little silver video I made a couple weeks ago. I haven't been half hunting as much as I would like to. But I was fortunate enough to get this box! The editing is a bit off, as the lighting nearly killed me during the filming. **spoiler** my camera and noggin were not damaged during the making of this video... Aside from not getting injured, I am also quite happy to see silver is still out there.

Also to anyone that is boating this weekend... I am very jealous.

Happy hunting (for coins), grilling etc. etc. this weekend and those to come this summer!

Rest in Peace

Are the Walking Liberty half dollars really that common?

I don't get it how after finding all that silver how could you not have had at least a giggle of excitement. I mean that video is 10 minutes long after opening it and seeing the silver on top I would have a giggle or two. Very cool.

No key dates. A couple of the WL's were pretty nice. I looked through the 40% for potential doubling, but I'm not really sure the doubling is worth it in that series. I would not say this is a typical box. And no WL's are not common at this point. I'm lucky to find a couple 40% Halfs let alone the rare 90%.

My feeling on this box is that it was a person returning Half Dollars to the bank and didn't know they were silver. The box was a sealed machine wrapped box from BofA, but that stuff still happens.

I'd be giggling if I didn't have to deal with all the technical difficulties. First the light falls and breaks, then I can't fix the glare for remainder of the video.

Still yeah pretty happy with the results of picking up those boxes. All the others were skunks and didn't make it into the film. No one wants to see a 11min skunk video.

Thanks for the comments, and good luck on scoring a good box! (phrasing!)

That is a nice haul. I use to get 50 a box back in 2010. Then they went cold. Alot of Skunks and 3 or 4 40%ers a box. Your video makes me want to go buy 10 boxes and see what happens

@ Mr Click

If you do get ten boxes, just make sure you have a bank that will still take them back. I took a break from CRHing and during that time the head teller was replaced at my return bank. Basically I'm left with 2 options, stop CRHing or returning fewer boxes in a week to that branch. Oh well...
