50 Reichsphennig KM# 96
The coin is made from aluminum the A mint mark is for Berlin.

without pics of both sides the grade is a guess at Fine to Very fine ,,with a value from 2.00 to 6.00 respectively.

Looks pretty beat up. The Aluminium 50Rpf (in this case, Jaeger 372/KM 96) tend to not be worth that much really, esp in the A mintmark. Berlin produced on average 50% of the coins in the Reich, so there are plenty of them out there.

As metalman said, you may get a fwe bucks for it, but most collectors of German third Reich coins would have been able to source an XF of this particular coin (given how common it is), so in F - VF, you may not have many buyers either!

Here are two that I use:

NumisMaster is run by Krause Publications, the people that print the phone-book-sized world coin catalogues, and uses data from those books. You have to register to search for coins (registration is free), but if you want mintage figures and prices, you have to pay a subscription. I've already got all the books, so I only use the free service.

World Coin Gallery is a private collector's site, and isn't complete and comprehensive - it often only includes the modern, more common, cheaper coins. But it's free - no registration required.

Soundexcess: No worries... Drittes Reichs/Alliierte Besetzung stuff is a pretty cool little niche (fun to do hardcore research on too, cos there is not really that much stuff out there). If youre interested in growing your collection, let me know... I know the odd dealer here and there who specialises in this stuff.
