Sorry, don't know. I snagged them from somewhere else. Most people were saying nothing jumped out and yelled fake at them, but they just don't look right to me. It certainly could be me though.

Very Interesting coins and if they are real worth a bit of money. All the coins should weight 27.0674 Grams and be 0.8750 gold.
1791 So/DA Chile KM#54
1797 NR/JJ- Colombia Km#62.1
1802 TSP/PP- Bolivia KM#81
1806 NR/JJ- Colombia KM#62.1
1806 So/FJ Chile KM# 54
1810 P/JF haven't found this mint mark yet.

They look real to me but I am by no way knowledgable enough in this area. Swamperbob should be the one to ask. However one thing that concerns me about them is that at .8750% gold (@20 carets) I would think they would have a more golden look than they do.

This is out of my collecting area, but there's something odd happening with dates on a few of them (Santiago 1806, especially). How's the edge looking? These were also edged with two sliding dies, so should have overlaps on the edge design opposite of each other. The weight would also help.

Echizento - the last one is Popayan, Columbia.

bobby131313 - Very nice looking group.

The attributions were collectively correct with the last being the Popayan mint in Columbia. They are all scarce to rare dates and in decent shape as well. If they are real you are looking at $1,000 each and up. The market is VERY strong for these and Karuse is way behind the times for prices.

Someone questioned the 1806 date on one of the Santaigo, Chile coins. That is the overdate die 1806/5.

These are NOT mass produced forgeries, because if they are not real the counterfeiter shows remarkable detailed knowledge of the series that is far from typical for recent forgeries.

For example, how many people realize that the Charles III protrait is correct together with a Carolus IIII legend for an 1806 Chile 8E coin? The average forger would use the wrong portrai because Charles IV had been on the throne for over 15 years in 1806.

All of the coins appear to be struck in an open press - or they mimic the results VERY well.

Someone mentioned color - that can be very deceptive on circulated coins with this alloy. The 1806/5 Chile is 0.875 but the 1791 Chile is 0.901 fine. The metal used to make the alloy at only 7/8ths gold can be enough to alter the expected color especially if the admixture is neither silver nor copper. We are all too used to US gold colors - early Spanish can be deceptive in that regard because the added metal could vary depending upon what was available. How many of us could pick out a coin made with 7/8ths gold plus 1/8th Platinum for instance.

But back to these coins. I see clear evidence for individually punched dies that appear to be finished just as a period die would have been finished. I also see adjustment marks on at least one coin of just exactly the type I would expect to see.

I agree that what is needed next are weights followed by specific gravities and pictures of the edges of these coins ESPECIALLY at the overlaps.

I don't want to sound overly optomistic at this point, but it looks pretty good. There are a few minor points where there are problems - some slightly funny looking denticles, a couple letters with odd chips and a lower edge on one that has the look of a casting. But I would really like a bit more information as noted above.
