My guess would be 1W1 but SsuperDdave will know for sure.

All the ones I have seen with the crack/break though the "F" end up heading west into the "O" and not up to the rim above. It's odd the crack/break is under the "F" but the wing is broken/cracked.

Pending the other details for the VAM, I'm reasonably sure this one is 1W.

Very cool ID. The more I look under the loupe I see more of the tiny cracks. It doesn't have all of the cracks yet so I would say this is an earlier example.

I don't see this in the top 100 but does it hold any premium?

THANKS!!

Look at the BU on the obverse for the smoking gun crack and the circular impressions it's known for. Yours is relatively early in the development, and it's a pretty common VAM so it won't carry a premium. All the same a really interesting coin because of those obverse impressions. It's one of the ones I'd like to find in 65-66 so I can get some serious optics onto the obverse and muse on the features.

THANKS...and it has the crack on the BU and almost all around. I was so hung up on the reverse I didn't really look too much at the obverse. Rookie mistake!
