This coin has made the long TPG journey from CCCS to ICG to PCGS.

First it was CCCS VF20 (very undergraded)

Then it was ICG VF35 (still a bit undergraded)

Now it is PCGS EF45

The only reason I cracked it out of the ICG VF35 holder was the piece of lint/debris that got stuck to the 9/6 when it was holdered. I was hoping for a PCGS EF40 or EF details.

Were there any comments or remarks on the PCGS holder. It looks like some corrosion and a foreign substance applied. It's a great shape coin, wear-wise and shows inside the loop very well.

When it comes to circulated coins, PCGS seems to be more forgiving with "Vicky crud"...

Congrats... will you also acquire the registry set bug at PCGS?

I probably wont catch the registry bug, as I'd have to collect non-variety dates as well as varieties ;)

CV, Do you still have the 9/6 you bought from me a couple of years ago ICCS EF40? It would be an interesting grade comparison.

Looks like PCGS is becoming the new standard for Canadian copper.

I've sent a bunch of EF-AU Victoria Copper to PCGS for a Cross-over experiment :) (taking advantage of their crossover special, which is a $10 hit if a coin doesn't cross over)...2 weeks to go...

I agree with okie that it looks different shiney... though I don't know if it's something on the coin or just different lighting.... between the ICCS holder and IGF holder.

But congrats on having a great eye and the persistence to make sure the coin got the right grade!
