Well that's a bummer. There are more than 3 birds of prey in Canada.

The "Birds of Prey" bullion 1-ounce 99.99% pure silver is a 4-coin series issued biannually. My guess is August for the fourth and last coin as the second coin was released August last year.

Apologies for the misinformation. My bad.

The 2014-dated, "Bald Eagle" 99.99% pure silver bullion coin is the second of four coins in the Mint's exciting biannual bullion series featuring Canadian birds of prey.

Two coins per year will be released in 2014 and 2015.

Something to look forward to this year.

Good series, SilverDon

Do you keep them in the air-tites, or did you get RCM 38mm capsules?

From the 1-st Wildlife series, I wished RCM will do the same, but in Proof quality (avoid milk spots) . And now mint minting them in Proof...but priced too high.

Just normal 38 mm airtites from Leuchtturm,
took your advice and got them out of the Quadrum
square holders.

Agree on the price of the proof replicas too high.
Hard to justify paying $89.95 when the bullion version is available for ~$30. If the proof version is not "hot", chances are it can be had for less on the secondary market later on. Bullion can go up in price if the value of silver goes up. With 1,000,000 minted.

Is there something wrong with the Quadrum square holders? I use them for many of my coin displays

Not suppose to be wrong, in theory.

But my first experience with them in 2011-2012 was bad - Wildlife coins, Wolf, Grizzly, Cougar developed milk spots areas close to edges, while second set, which was encapsulated same day to airtites - was (almost) clean.

That's why I stay away from Quadrums

In addition:
the foam of X3 air-tite caused same effect on 1.5oz Polar Bear Bullion, when "Aurinum.de" exact fit capsules worked great.
So it's looks like the foam not always goes good with RCM bullion.
(that's doesn't mean that bullion in direct fit airtites always stay clean).

I don't trust any foam rings to "not" cause a toning/staining problem eventually, ya I know they say its "safe" to use but I wont use them.

That said I do have few gold bullion coins that came in capsules with black foam spacer rings that I need to find direct fit airtights for. I don't sleep at night thinking about the latent damage it might be causing...
