Picked this one up for 7 dollars. I thought it was a nice strike. any thoughts on grade? looks to have full split bands as well. The luster in person is quite nice. My photos are sub-par at best

I will stick my neck out again and say easy AU .
The rim looks odd as if a MAD. That is my main question?

very nice Merc.MS-64-65. Not too sure it's FB. Mint luster is not shown in your photos. you claim it does in hand.
Again , very nice.

Shes a beauty. A couple minor abrasions on the obverse and very minor on reverse. At least MS65FB with a shot at 66

cool not a bad deal then. picked it up on ebay. first "auction" I've won. the seller usually has the picture of the coin being auctioned. it was definitely the best struck 1940's merc imo (which wasn't slabbed). the price started at 3$ and there were two people bidding which got the price up to 6$. The last minute I bid 7.52 incase others were biddin last minute. won it for 7 bucks. I'm wanting to start a set of nice mercs. I'd figure start with the easier ones first. anyone know of a good place(internet included) who specialize in Mercury dimes? thanks for your wisdom all
