today I sold a 2015 50 cent piece from the rolls I got. The listing is for one piece only, and I had emphasized that in the description. But then the buyer bought a second one only a few minutes later. WHen I had messaged him to ask if he had really wanted two pieces and that he didnt accidentally buy a second, he replied saying he purchased 2 full rolls from me. So we exchanged a few messages and I told him it was 2 pieces and not 2 full rolls, but he answered saying he expects 2 rolls. He has yet to answer my reply.
How would I go about it? If they dont answer me in the next day or two, should I just refund the money and close the case? How can I go about not receiving negative feedback from them?
It is the first time I run into such a case. Thanks for the help!

I am not ebay smart but I would contact ebay, give them the listing number, forward them the emails to show them the problem and let them decide....if they are on your side is there not something they can do to protect you?
Feel free to call me Will.

If you give a link to your listing we can see what the listing says and clear up the confusion.
If pictures shows rolls, then perhaps the buyer thought he was getting rolls.

Cancelling the sales sounds like the best idea (and, possibly, blocking if he gives and further grief).

As part of ebay Seller Protection, you also have the option of reporting the buyer for "Making Unreasonable Demands", in violation of ebay policies. If your ebay account is the one similar to your name here, very clearly you indicate that you are selling one 50c from a mint roll in the photo. Sounds to me like the buyer is just trying to rip you off.

Note to ebay sellers........Do not sell inexpensive coins on ebay, because here is what is going to be the outcome, first the buyer you get is like the bonehead Smith poor Paulsz is now dealing with. Second you can not track cheaply in Canada and I guarantee with in lets say your next ten sales you will get at least one I didn't get it. It is both too expensive and a complete waste of time selling less than $30.00 items on ebay unless pain and suffering is your lot in life. @ Paulsz ,good luck dealing with this one.

Quote: These coins went straight from the roll into the 2x2 flaps, so in my opinion, grades range from a 64 to a 65. That is from your listing, so technically, the buyer is in the wrong. That said, frankly, if you want to avoid this sort of problem, then show a photo of the coin in the 2x2 flip, and not a picture of a complete, sealed roll. Lastly, use your own photo of the coin, not the Royal Canadian Mint official photo...Technically, the buyer could file a claim, stating that the coin received was not the one pictured.

That I have learned pacificoin. I had never really gotten issues before and I've sold maybe ~60-80 coins (sell some to buy more). But now I see that it's not worth dealing with something like this every once in a while for such a small price. Once the listings over I'll probably just keep whatever is left in stock.

If you feel that the listing was clear and fair, than at this point you're better off taking an ebay defect and cancelling the transaction. It will still be less painful than sending the item and the buyer then him/her claiming a product deficiency. If the buyer leaves you negative feedback, then go ahead and fight it with ebay then. I haven't seen your listing and not sure if you actually show a picture of a roll, but if you do, I'd remove it even if your description is obvious that it's a single coin. It doesn't really help the listing and you're opening yourself up to this type of abuse. There are buyers out there that scour ebay for listing errors and borderline listings and purposely bid on the inconsistency and then try to work the seller. Its happened to me once or twice where my description didn't match the photo. Especially if there is a big difference in value between one or the other. (Eg, the picture is a 1923 nickel and the description says 1925). You'd be surprised now many people bid away without pointing it out (although many do)).

"2015 50 Cent from Roll FREE SHIPPING"
"Last updated on May 31, 2015 18:55:06 EDT View all revisions Up for sale is one (1) canadian 50 cent piece from a 2015 Roll. These coins went straight from the roll into the 2x2 flaps, so in my opinion, grades range from a 64 to a 65.
Please note: 1 random coin will be picked from the rolls, but as said above, it will grade around a 64 or 65. The coin in the picture is not the one you will necessarily receive."
Edited: didn't finish my post!
In my opinion, that you've clearly clarified the source of your 50c, as opposed the alternate being from an Uncirculated Set, is of interest to potential buyers as well. I think you just happened to hook an real idiot.

Quite frankly with the agro from selling cheap Non Tracked ebay lots within Canada , we just do not bother anymore. We just about lost our major ebay trading account over two bidiots in Quebec ( total dollar amount was $55.00 U.S. ) . Both I did not gets . Now , we are literally 25 minutes and a short walk to a U.S. Post office in WA. State. Everything we sell is now tracked and most of our sales are export. I could care tuppence if we ever sell another coin in Canada again unless the buyer is willing to pay tracked shipping. It is not worth losing an outlet that generates our livelihood , that outlet being ebay. A little of my background ( Retired Canada Post 22 plus years ) tells me properly addressed packages with clearly marked return addresses just do not evaporate into thin air. It is open season on ebay sellers who are wide open to both Ebays brutal buyer centric policies and thieving buyers I In my professional opinion.

Ok, so now I see the listing. The description is very clear. The main pic is something that someone may definitely play on. As I stated above, I would remove the roll or if you really want to have it on display, take a picture of the roll with a single coin leaning on it (or something like that).
