I just started listing things on ebay mostly non-coin collectors item in the $10-20 range. How much will people avoid me since I'm a new seller with zero feedback? Is there anyway I can reassure people besides becoming PalPal verified which I'm already am?

I'm currently trying to buy a few cheaper items I can use at auction but it would be a few days to see if I can win. I want toleave some feedback and gain some activity.

Most of my items are fixed price but I added one auction for fun to use up some of my free listing quota.

I guess I'm just still intimidated by the process. I have some more diverse items to list but I prefer to auction them. Didn't know if I should wait. I tend to get some diverse items since I'm been getting some donations from my large family haha. Not junk by any means except maybe the furbies haha. I also want to start selling coins on their but I don't want to preyed upon by bottom feeders if no one trusts me :/

I been using similar items to base my shipping on with calculated shipping and. I'm afraid that it could be off too :/ If anyone has the time to check my items and give me input I would appreciate it. My seller account is linked to my profile here.

Hi Bertensgrad - I am a relatively new eBayer and felt just like you. I listed my first items in February this year and sold most of them, including two lots of stamps that each went for over £100. People seemed to trust me even though I had zero feedback. If customers are happy then the positive feedback will come quickly, and it doesn't take long to get 20 or 30 feedbacks.

I don't believe having a low feedback (or zero feedback) has a huge impact. When I use ebay I hardly consider feedback as I know the ebay and Paypal guarantees significantly protect me as a buyer. The only time that I believe zero/low feedback has a huge impact is when selling large value items.

Actually, I just purchased a buy-it-now piece from someone with zero feedback; I'm not worried one bit as a buyer.

I've followed a couple of your ebay posts as I've gotten into selling on ebay quite a bit this summer myself. My best advice to you is to keep track of all of your expenses. This will allow you to determine your net income, but more importantly will guide you on what items sell best and which items you make the largest margins on etc.

I do consider feedback when I buy on the bay. I also look for easy returns. You might want to sell a bunch of stuff cheap just to get feedback. In your ad make sure you have free shipping and returns accepted.Put a link to your ebay stuff for us members.

I too would think you are ok with low or zero feedback. The only suspicious thing is when the person has zero feedback and are selling valuables worth hundreds of dollars... so cheaper items should be no problem. :) Have fun!

I'm mostly selling old toys and my nasa patch collection right now. The patches was a lucky find. The ones I found are rarer and go for $20-$30 apiece so I just asked for $20 to see how they do. I will be listing some more items at auction soon since I found some more stuff.

I picked the wrong ebay name haha. Seems like I always find expensive farm and school surplus for free haha.
