1 WL and without question either a 63 or 64.
I'll lean towards a 64 but won't be surprised if it graded a 63.

Okay grading sharks, kindly share your wisdom! I notice the cartwheel effect, no flaws, fantastic visual appeal (but I know that doesn't count).....what else prompted you to recognize this grade by ICCS as MS-64?

wildflower....
My steps in grading this a 64.
1. ignore reverse
2. look mainly at obverse fields and notice a few hits in the fields at 3:00.
3. this eliminates an ms65.
4. a few more hits on the Queen's neck and face. This made me wonder if it could be a 63, but I figured the fields were too good for a 63 so I guessed 64.

ICCS likes clean fields and focuses on the obverse....this coin has a clean obverse with no major bag marks in the fields, there is some on the bust but that is of less focus than the fields from what I understand and the business on the bust is very minor and doesn't grab your attention. there are no major luster breaks or rim dings, in fact the reverse on this one is extremely nice for the grade by ICCS standards. I would say this is as nice a MS-64 you can find and the kind I would pay 64 money for all day which is good since I tend to be veeeery picky.

I'm always curious.....thank you, very interesting indeed. I have a few graded MS silver dollars and I've gazed, gawked and squinted trying to distinguish the difference between a MS grade or two. Given the information you've kindly shared, I'm determined to get a better understanding.
