ME:I just want to ask... what do you guys think of coin roll hunters? and can I get pennies from you anymore at all?

TD Canada Trust:Good morning. We certainly appreciate ones interest in obtaining collectible coins; however, TD Canada Trust does not provide pennies anymore but we do will still accept them. - Cory

When you go to a TD bank if you ever get turned down or refused show them this but don't show them the part about pennies or the whole chance will be shot. also, again, what is with that... they say they don't provide pennies and according to a small amount of CCF members they do.

Personally I don't mind coin roll hunters because they haven't bugged me yet and if something hasn't bugged me I don't care about it so yeah.

Hey, coin cat, can I get a box of cents please? Thanks!

I thought that they don't give out cents in canada, although some members may have an inside source (in the bank).

It's amazing what a box of good chocolates can do with your best tellers.

Well they don't produce them anymore but if a bank has some rolls or bags of them that haven't been sent for destruction yet I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to give`em to coin people so those people can save the ones that matter and don't belong getting destructed at all. They have coin counter machines that you just need to put the pennies (and other denominations in) and you get all there face value when your done, those pennies are the ones nobody can get to because they arnt in any rolls or anything the teller could give them to you (in).

Why would they not give them out? because a certain customer who collects coins doesn't give them chocolate? or other things? What that tells me is that they really are allowed to do so and can do it when ever they want, you just apparently need to some how buy them some chocolate without making it look like your only doing it so you can get them to get you pennies which they should just do in the first place. john100, your comment makes me think... and with the last comment I'm having a brain storm.

Why would a teller, with company policy of not releasing pennies back to the public, do anything special except for an exceptional gracious customer. By the way these boxes are heavy and good luck!
