One of the early "S" Mint Morgans in all its MS-68 glory. I've come close, but no cigar... PG

Typecoin, For the 1803 eagle, why do you want a 'details' coin? Just to make it affordable?

An MS Texas Centennial Half. Mine dream coin isn't as impressive as lots of others on here but it is a realistic "dream" coin for me right now.
The next couple in line would be the 1946 Iowa Commemorative Half and the Stone Mountain half. I love the eagles on all three of these coins and the textured fields.

Every month HA.com has a major auction and all my dream coins are tracked. They are priced around $800 to $2,000 each, but when it comes time to pulling the trigger I see one too many zero and back off. Guessing I must be comfortable with coins that are priced under $200 only.

Quote: One of the first 12 morGans ever to be struck in denver. A 1921-d "engraved" Morgan. Whichever number I can get my hands on at the time I decide to throw that much $ into a single coin https://goccf.com/t/185550Whatever happened to ANT76 and Chasingtailbar?

Celtic, very nice and I hope you get one soon. Any particular S number you are searching looking for? This is my one dream coin, but maybe, maybe still realistic. Not in this condition of course, I would be happy with a fine example. Pity I did not get one when they way more affordable 25 years ago. My wife would say, dream on!

"realistic-dream" coin? That is kind of an oxymoron isn't it? It is not a "dream" coin if you realistically think you will obtain it someday? Mine would be a PCGS MS64 1928 Peace dollar. To complete my MS64 Peace dollar set.

Denco, are you saying that dreams, by definition, are unobtainable? That would be kind of a sad life view.

Quote: Hey jbuck, broken cc had a sweeeeeeet ms65 09s vdb in PCGS plastic asking a little over $5000 Way out of my league! For what it is worth, mine has to be in the VG-VF range or it would look out of place in my album. Realistically, AG-G is what it will probably be.

Any coin I can get my hands on? I have to think about this more.... Ah! A 1936 DDO Lincoln Cent! I honestly think I'll buy one with Christmas money next year.
