Today's strange find..
Can this be acid? The edge is not affected..
Heated? But no discoloration..
First thought this is PMD, but a really strange one..
maybe not PMD ?

The coin metal is copper-nickel on this issue from Poland. It could have spent time in an acidic soil or it could have had an acid bath. The effect is very even overall and in my opinion PMD.
