Two raw coins from my Silver Washington set. Posting several pictures, grade/opinions appreciated.

1948-S (toner) & 1950-D. The '48-S is frosty and toned, and the '50-D is nearly PL in hand.

A few years ago a LCS was going out of business & I picked up 15-20 BU/MS silver Washingtons for $6 to $8 each, these are from that lot. I'd love to have them all slabbed in TPG plastic but that's a lot of money.

First set of pictures from scanner, 2nd from 12MP phone camera w/flash and varied lighting. (I bet at least some of you will recognize the background "material" I used for the camera pics ;)

Any marks are camera or scanner induced, both coins have nearly flawless fields.

The first photo of the 48-s doesn't look frosty IMO. Also either slight weak strike or
Slight wear. MS-63.
The 50-d is drop dead gorgeous. Maybe MS-66.

Thanks for the input :) I apologize if "frosty" isn't the appropriate word; the 1948 coin is very white, for lack of a better description, vs. the very silvery mirror of the 1950. I don't know why that's the case that some of my Silver washingtons are more white and others are more mirror-silver. Perhaps you can explain for me.

The 48 does seem to have a weaker strike.

I've got another 10-15 of these to photograph and post, but not doing them all at once to prevent spamming the forums and taking up too much of people's time.
