Just picked this coin up. Was cracked out of NGC MS64 holder. I thought purchase price of $200 was more than fair. 1837-Feuchtwanger-Cent

A gorgeous Feuchtwanger! This metal didn't age well, but you've got a gem there! Beautiful photography too!

One of the better toned (and preserved!) Feuchtwangers I have seen. They are usually a little pale and without luster.
Congratulations.

Great buy! As much as I disdain the slabbing of these early tokens, I'd not have cracked it out, given that high a grade. Think it might make a 65?

sent this coin to be reholdered and regraded also. Came back MS64 so same grade but I think its resale value would be higher in the slab.

the coin was busted out of its slab by the person I bought it from. I thought it would be easier to sell it in the future if it was back in a slab. I did not expect it to grade any higher.
Rest in Peace

A superb example. I've had one on my wAnt list forever but I've held out hoping to find a beauty. You certainly found one!
