I have a 1982 quarter that has 1 gold side? and I cant find any info. is this normal? rare? whats it worth if anything? a lot in circ?

sounds like the quarter was plated

and also a weight for the coin

it weights 5 grams like all quarters....
ive had it for awhile and never though of it till now after my move.
I have a bunch of nothing coins, 1906-7 penny, a 1918 Half Cent and other stuff

Looks like SCOTCH & SODA. It's a magic trick... If it is the quarter is hollow and the "heads" side pops out. It usually comes with a plastic disc that allows you to tap out the center...

Yes. Simple. The mint did not do any selective gold plating until 2003 I believe, and then, it was on the silver dollars and mint report 1-cent.
