what is eBays return policy on cleaned coins? Saw these last night (they were $50 but he raised it). Looks cleaned to me so I'll pass but was curious on policy of someone doesn't disclose cleaned coins.

Well, how are you going to prove they were cleaned? Even if you do spend $ for TPG they won't get back to you in time to do anything plus the cost of grading plus how can you even prove the coin that came back cleaned was the coin the seller sold you. Some unscrupulous coin dealers will buy very high end coins in details plastic then crack and sell as raw. Even ones with top notch pedigrees. But as I'm writing this I'm thinking, what about the coins we have heritage pics of in details plastics we see on ebay raw. Then there IS proof

The seller has a 14 day return on these coins so whether they are cleaned or you just hate them, in theory you should be able to return them. I did have a seller balk one time on a return even though they clearly offered returns, but usually it is not a problem.

That said, with ebay, if in doubt, let it go by. Not worth the hassle.

If you use a credit card to make the payment through ebay, you can always dispute the charge.

Good idea to always check to make sure seller accepts returns - sometimes they don't, and you can well lose even if you file a dispute through, say, Paypal.

That's true, and ebay has been known to close the accounts of people who do that.
