Here is an interesting Die Chip in LIBERTY. One Book lists this as a "BIE" variety and classifies all BIE varieties as II-F. This particular one is a II-F-5 with a Rarity Level of 3-5.
The name of the book is: U S Coin Digest, 11th Edition by Harper and Miller.
I know that there are those who would debate the ID of this as a "BIE" since the die chip does not fall between the B and E.

I am not aware of a website which attempts to list all the BIEs (supposedly around 1500 varieties). Is anyone?

No , there isn't a site dedicated to them . One gentleman's personal site has his own collection photographed and listed by Cohen #'s.
Incredible photo's including 3d imaging. He also custom builds coin photography rigs for his customers.
I'm not where I can snag a link at the moment

Thanks for the site reference. I saw information elsewhere that the BIE cents were prominent in the 50s - interesting that this site shows them only on 50s cents - unless I did not look far enough. Does that mean they are less common outside the 50s? That seems to be the implication.

Thanks for the site reference stoneman!

This site is being added to as the coins become available to him . I am looking through my rolls and collection to see if I have anything to help his site. As I said this is his personal site and a work in progress. He would like it to develope into a place others can use for referance.
