I was looking around at all the stuff people are buying and I couldn't help but see that people are buying off multiple ounces of silver and 100's of dollars of rounds and bullion (and coins).

This leads me to ask the following: Just how many grams/ounces of [physical] silver/gold/platinum/palladium do you own anyway?

Oh, and this isn't meant to be a contest, so be nice (or at least try )

I don't really know since I don't stack just collect 90% date mint sets. I got maybe $25 face or so not really all that much from a silver perspective.

It would be hard for me to say exactly how much silver I own because it's spread all through my collection. I'm sure I have plenty of foreign coins that I don't even know are silver not to mention a few commemorative medals and tokens that are silver. I probably have close to 100 oz I would imagine. Probably 60 oz of that in bullion bars and rounds and the rest in coins.

No gold/platinum/palladium though. Very expensive to stack that. I do have some random copper rounds though but I don't really consider that bullion since you have to buy it at such a premium and trying to sell it at that same premium is just not going to happen. I just like them because their cheap, attractive, and I can use them as pocket pieces and not worry about losing a nice expensive coin if it goes missing.

Of .999 silver coins and collectible art bars I have 8 ounces. All of the other silver I have are 19th & 20th century 90% coins having numismatic value and not tied directly to the spot price of silver. The one exception to that is my incomplete average circulated set of 1935-47 Liberty Walking halves in an old Dansco folder. I need 7 pieces to finish it.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified too that a good amount of the %90 silver coins I own have a numismatic worth over melt. BU Morgan/Peace dollars, proof coins, old bust and Barber halves and such. I do have a decent stash though of "junk" silver that I keep seperate and an entire folder of "found in circulation" coins which are mostly silver coins that I also keep seperated.
Rest in Peace

A lot. Much more than I should own if silver prices stay this low (or go any lower), not nearly enough if prices ever go back up to $50 or above.

I lost all of mine in a terrible boating incident on the Great Lakes.
Started over with some silver shot.

Wait....what? Fistfullofdirt you lost all your silver in a boating accident? My mind is coming up with some crazy ideas on how that could happen but none that really make sense. Were you moving all your household goods by ferry boat or something?

It comes and goes for me, but lately I have slow down a lot and doing other form of investments. I prefer numismatic items more then bullion these days, some bullion falls in between.
