Just bought 575 small cents for $5.75 US. Saw a 1920, so I figured I wouldn't go too wrong. Seller hasn't picked through them, but the prior seller may have. What should I look for?

well everything from 1997 and back is copper and is worth 2 cents so I think you made good right off the bat. As far as varieties, check http://www.coinsandcanada.com

coinsndcanada is a good place to start... looks like you have some nice coins there.. no major "key" dates but you also can't sweat it for paying "face" value for 'em... NICE!
