Recent pick up, currently on the Bay. Thoughts on Grade and variety if any. I just listed it as "higher grade".
Thanks as always! RK

This appears to be the N-4 die variety which has an R.1 rarity designation.
As far as grade I will give this coin an EAC 35 or an EF-40 market grade. The coin shows some minor corrosion but I won't net grade it for that because it is slight.

That's a beauty! Love the color. I'm trying to make it an EF40, but have to go a bit higher to EF45.

I'm at VF35, but, the coin has been cleaned and the color has been played with. You can see a lighter brown or orange color covered by a darkener in some areas especially around the date and also on the wreath. Also the corrosion by the date and towards star 1 and 2 have been covered by the darkener. I would net grade this coin about VF25.

I have it really close to EF45. My first thought was that it was cleaned quite a while ago for the same reasoning of 1893S. If it was it now has retoned nicely and is market acceptable
