Quite an assembly of 1811 Half Cents. Some very pretty (and scarce) coins there. Quote: 'Just in case you missed it, note that my 1811 C-1, is the "4-star Cud" variety. I believe that there's a "2-star Cud" variety too'. For sure not missed - the 4-star break variety is a very interesting and coveted one.

I call this one 'Jaws' (from James Bond's nemeis in 'The Spy Who Loved Me). At first glace the teeth appear to be intentionally altered but upon closer inspection it looks like something dinged the nostril and upper/lower lips simultaneously; at least for the mark(s) nearest to the cheek the angle of each dent angle is similar. 1809/6 , Jaws, obv. C-5, R-1 1809/6 , Jaws, rev. C-5, R-1

1825 (Two Varieties) and 1826 (Two Varieties). 1825 C-1 R3 (this variety is rare above XF). Not really a mint error per se, since pretty much all of the coins of this variety are rotated like this. 1825 C-2 R1 1826 C-1 R1 1826 C-2 R3 (this variety is rare above XF)
