I've been going back through some of my Morgans that I haven't been able to identify and started digging again. I came to this 82-S and found some interesting things. It appears as though the tail feathers were doubled, the mint mark is filled in and there maybe doubling on the date as well. I am stumped as to which one it might be as I cannot find anything on the reverse items. Any help is appreciated.

Nice looking '82-S . Compare it to VAM-18, http://www.vamworld.com/1882-S+VAM-18

Thanks Dave! The spikes in the eagles legs are spot on. I have a later die state in that I don't have the die file lines they speak of in the early die state. The doubling of the date is also spot on. I really appreciate it!

Yeah, That EDS plate coin is really nice. I'm still looking for a PL example of any die pair. They're few and far between compared to '78 through '81.

I love the way the molecular structure shifted over time.
