I was very careful to follow all of the listing rules, I thought. I was listing a raw Morgan dollar, with an old basement slab TPG certificate. The asking price was $3,300. Never mentioned any numerical grade in the listing per ebay policy for non approved TPGs. All I did was mention GEM, MIRRORS, LUSTROUS, etc. The listing was up for a day then taken down and the email they sent me was very broad brush, and just said it violated ebay policy. When they take a listing down it's gone, and I can't even see it anymore. I called them about it, and the only thing they could tell me was that I was asking too much. That's totally ridiculous. Look at what some people are asking for junk coins on ebay.

My dad always had a saying that the world is sometimes run by morons and that companies somehow manage to stay in business in spite of what seems like their best efforts to screw it up. I think ebay is no exception.

Over $2500 must be certified by the big four, been that way for a while.

Thanks. Bobby, I pm'd you right after I posted the OP. That's what the ebay rep said, $2500. Maybe their software could be adjusted to flag that before the listing is up? I think I know why they don't. They will certainly flag it if you mention a numerical grade. Now I lost my chance at the $20 max seller fee deal they were offering. If I relist, the deal is no good. Oh well, will just have to wait a while I guess. Thanks for confirming that.

Watch out ed, two or three more pulls like that and you'll get suspended possibly forever. No matter that your a great and honest seller they just kill you period.

I saw the coin before the listing was pulled, I think you really should have it certified and then include the PhotoCert as a piece of the provenance. Looked to be an amazing coin.

Thanks everybody. BStrauss, I pm'd you. Quote: I think you really should have it certified... You might have a point there. Minimal additional investment for a shot at a 65PL holder. ANACS would be my choice if I did it.
