I find the area on the obverse between 9:00-11:00 more interesting? I would like to see a closeup of that area.

Looks a bit like die attrition in that area. (MAD setup damaged the outside edge of the die)

If it is sunk inward, then it might be damage. Bummer.

I am interested to know if there is an answer to the original question:

You mean die attrition like on this 1968 penny coop?

Heavy polish lines behind Lincoln head may indicate removal of a die or collar clash. Also contribute to the attrition? Just a rookies theory. Thanks, Doug.

That is crazy looking-but how clean the seperation is and no heavy damage around the rim it sure looks like it was struck like that?

Looks like two of my pics disappeared? Whole coin front/back. Anyways,I first thought it was a die dent at 9-11k but directly opposite is what looks like a finned rim. I was thinking the two together was something. And the reverse had stuff going on in the same places? Thanks for the interest guys.
