Slider23 Pillar of the Community United States 4469 Posts	Posted 06/17/2015 12:09 pm Take a look at this Morgan is this a VAM 9A? The T in TRUST is not at the same height as the other letters and part appears to be missing, but is some what still visible. Report this Post to the Staff

dave700x Rest in Peace United States 10625 Posts	Posted 06/17/2015 2:16 pm Looks like 9A to me. The missing T is caused by grease and possibly debris clogging the letter in the die. The clog would have gradually cleared itself out of the die during the coining process creating varying degrees of examples between no T through complete T. Nice find! Report this Post to the Staff

SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 06/17/2015 8:58 pm Not sure, but I believe this is an EDS VAM-1Q from the breaks through STAT. The partial Grease Fill in the "t" - if that's what it is, looks to be so but I'm not positive - is coincidental and not hard to believe. Grease can work its' way into and out of a die, especially the anvil die. Report this Post to the Staff

It appears that the T in Trust is a partial die fill. I was focused on the T in Trust. Thanks for the help. Report this Post to the Staff
